HEART & SOUL EQUINE FOUNDATION, INC. is a 501C3, Not for Profit Foundation designed to Rescue, Retire, Rehab horses and offer equine loving care & healing for Veterans, Adults and Children. Some of our horses just enjoy recovering from injury and enjoy their permanent home. Horses improve the participant’s physical and emotional well-being, while enhancing their quality of life. Our Foundation, provides a loving & safe environment for our equine family, and they enjoy human affection and their 2nd career creating positive interactions and therapeutic experiences. These horses offer a tremendous beneficial service to our programs. It is a “WIN WIN” for Adults, Children and the horses! There are many people in our society that face mental and emotional issues at some point throughout their life……..may be caused by trauma, sickness or different events in their life that occur. Many times, the first recommendation for these issues is medication without considering other alternatives to medication, like interacting with animals. Horses have a natural calming and tranquil being while providing a very majestic magic in healing ones’ mind and heart. All small inroads to healing with horses, feel like “huge miracles” to the individual that is suffering! Although we are just starting out at our new location, we have several capital improvements to complete. Even without our improvements, we have started serving participants in many different ways and design a program specific to each individual need as best we can for now. We serve participants with Cancer, Stroke Recovery, Depression, High Anxiety, PTSD, Autism, etc. The most popular program is our “buddy” program……………..very helpful for family bereavement or just plain loneliness.
