Growing21 is a community-led charity in Ruchazie, Glasgow that aims to tackle the areas’ significantly high poverty & deprivation rates by providing desperately needed community resources. 

We manage Ruchazie Pantry that provides dignified food support for our members and helps tackle food waste. Our community cafe and training kitchen creates menus from foods that would otherwise be sent to landfill, to provide affordable meals in a vibrant social space, while providing volunteering and training opportunities for the community. Our community kitchen allows us to deliver cooking classes to everyone within the community to help tackle the health inequalities experienced within the area.

We are also in the process of transforming derelict land for community use to become play-areas, educational outdoor spaces and dedicated growing spaces.
