Set up because the BCSPCA refuses to cover our area (we’re isolated enough to not be “in their catchment zone”), the GRCS helps to find homes for many cats and kittens from isolated communities on Vancouver Island's north west coast. This includes feral and wild kittens. We also help people who need medical care or supplies for their cats/kittens, which can include travel from even more isolated communities than ours. A foster-based rescue, we must fundraise for everything. If we cannot cover anything, a few of us support the charity out of our own pockets.
