Did you know that the Western Ringtail Possum in Western Australia, is a critically endangered species?Who we are: Our organisation Geo Bay Wildlife Rescue Inc is an incorporated association and registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission. We have Deductible Gift Recipient status. We are a 100% volunteer wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organisation. Our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly 365 days annually to save the lives of injured, sick or abandoned wildlife in South West WA.  We do not receive any recurrent funding from the government and rely on the generous support from the community and the fundraising we conduct to operate.What we do: We provide wildlife with care and rehabilitation services to enable them to be returned to their native habitat. We provide awareness and education to the general public about protecting and helping local fauna and their habitats. We aim to reduce the incidence of wildlife needing rehabilitation through education and awareness programs. To encourage the next generation of wildlife rehabilitators, we have established a mentor program where interested youth are partnered with an experienced rehabilitator to learn about wildlife and what we do to rehabilitate and return fauna to their native homelands.
