Friends of the Congo provides support to frontline organizations and communities in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We support Indigenous and local communities on the frontlines in the Congo Basin Rainforest fighting to combat the climate crisis, and preserve the forest and its biodiversity ; grassroots organizations on the frontlines of the conflict in the east of the country that work with women and children in internally displaced camps; mining collectives who work to formalize artisanal and small scall miners and rescue children from dangerous cobalt and copper miners; youth who work with street children in urban areas; and women formations that organize young women to combat sexual violence.
