The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of Central New York, Inc. ("Corporation") is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including making distributions to organizations that qualify as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3).

The Corporation's mission is to support innovative research into the causes, prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately the cure of breast cancer; to promote public awareness, education, early detection, survivorship, and patient support; to advance women's health initiatives; and to improve understanding of the impact of cancer on patients, families, and communities.

Building upon this foundation, the Corporation is committed to advancing innovative research across all types of cancer and to championing the effort to secure National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation for the Upstate Cancer Center at Upstate University Hospital. Through the establishment of a $50 million campaign and other philanthropic initiatives, the Corporation will help provide the resources necessary to strengthen scientific research, expand clinical trials, recruit world-class physician-scientists, and enhance patient access to cutting-edge cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship services.

By supporting the Upstate Cancer Center's journey toward achieving NCI designation—the internationally recognized gold standard in cancer research and comprehensive patient care—the Corporation seeks to improve cancer outcomes, accelerate lifesaving discoveries, and expand access to world-class cancer care for the people of Central New York and beyond.
