Freedom of Spirit Border Collie Trust for border collies Rescue
FOSTBC takes in collies from all walks of life. No dog is rehomed straight away, they are all assessed and put on training programmes. Each dog has its lifetime of back up when adopted and adopters are introduced to the training techniques of the dog they adopt. FOSTBC takes in older dogs and operates a senior dog/person foster scheme. Collies that can't be rehomed due health or behavioural issues remain in the Trust's Sanctuary where they have access to paddocks, gardens and play areas and any who sponsor one of them has access to a private fb page so they can follow the dog's activities. The team working with the dogs are all trainers who also specialize in the breed and as well as training spend time sitting with and massaging the dogs to give them some calm quality time. Donations to FOSTBC are so much appreciated and each one helps us to be able to keep giving the dogs in our care the best of veterinary care, good food and the special diets that some of the oldies need. Donations also help us move further to our goal of expansion so we can provide for more collie in need.
