The mission of the Franciscan Sisters Third Order Regular of Penance of the Sorrowful Mother is to glorify God and to make known His merciful love. As women religious, consecrated to God and the Church through the evangelical vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, we are dedicated to a life of prayer and the spiritual and corporal works of mercy. We are called to be with Mary at the foot of the Cross and to manifest in our life and ministry the charisms of crucified love (selfless love of Christ Crucified), mercy, poverty, and contemplation.
