4Corners K-9 Search & Rescue is a Native-led, volunteer-based nonprofit K9 search and rescue organization serving families of missing persons across the Four Corners region—New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.
This work began with a German Shepherd named Trigger, whose natural instincts and unwavering drive led to the start of our search and rescue mission. Trigger helped shape the foundation of this organization and the work we do for families in need. In 2024, we lost Trigger to cancer, but his legacy continues to guide every search, training, and deployment.
We specialize in live-find and human remains detection K9 searches, often in remote, rural, and Tribal communities where resources are limited and jurisdictional barriers exist. Beyond deployments, we support and educate families through safe search practices, mapping, and guidance—so no family is left navigating a missing person case alone.
Our mission is rooted in community, cultural understanding, and carrying forward Trigger’s legacy by standing with families when it matters most.
