Four Paws NC provides training to people with disabilities and their dogs to become certified service dog teams.  We also train and certify people and their dogs to volunteer in the community as animal-assisted therapy teams.   Service dogs are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain due to long waitlists. By working with people and their dogs, we enable individuals to have a service dog through training under our guidance.   Therapy teams provide comfort and joy in the communities by visiting hospitals, nursing facilities, 9-1-1 call centers, and other locations, sharing the love of a dog to help relieve stress.
