For Tigers is a small animal welfare charity based in the UK but working in Thailand. Each year, hundreds of captive tigers are bred for interactions with tourists. The conditions in which these tigers are kept are often far below international standards. Many receive little to no veterinary care, are fed on poor diets, and endure negative interactions with both keepers and tourists. Some are forced into performing unnatural behaviours, and many suffer physical abuse during training and interactions. As adults, their lives get worse, and while no longer forced to interact with tourists, they're often kept in small, concrete cages for the rest of their lives. Our charity is dedicated to the welfare of these tigers, those who will live in captivity for the rest of their lives. We aim to raise the standards of their living and care to improve their lives and their welfare. We do so through research, education and direct aid. As such, we have already built several enclosures at government facilities where the confiscated tigers from Tiger Temple now live. Partnering with Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT)Currently, we are partnering with WFFT for an urgent fundraising appeal. A tiger farm in Thailand has been shut down and the tigers need to be rescued. WFFT will be taking over 20 tigers in this rescue, but desperately need help. We have already provided funds for some enclosures and transport costs, but more enclosures need to be built and we need your help to do it. Both For Tigers and WFFT heavily rely on donations and fundraisers to keep providing for, and rescuing captive tigers in Thailand. Without funding, these (and future tigers) cannot be rescued. As such, we would be grateful for any support and voting for us can go a long way to doing that.
