Flying Hope Companion Bird Rescue and Re home takes in companion birds, mainly parrots, when they can no longer stay in their present home.  I have been doing this since 2001 and most times I am full to capacity.  There is a huge need for this type of rescue in Canada. A lot of the birds come to me with issues, mental and physical.  We really need to keep the vet fund up for this.  I rely only on donations and out of my own pocket.  Donations are few and far between.  Birds that are not adoptable stay here with me.  I find homes, good ones, for the other birds that come into my care.  We feed a premium diet plus fresh foods, all quite costly.  We also need new toys at any given time, cages, treats, nuts etc.  I think people should support Flying Hope as we are so needed in this area and beyond.  Monies from my own pocket are slim.  A large donation would help us and we could even improve the bird areas with paint, flooring etc.  Thank you for your time.  Donna.
