Femergy® provides girls and women with skills-training they need to overcome gender barriers in Education, Leadership, Health, and Wellness. Our programming guides participants through overcoming financial, educational, and social barriers while advocating for enrichment-based opportunities for girls and women; female representation in leadership; and the long-term economic self-sufficiency of women.

We need your support bridging these gaps for girls and women. Women face significant barriers to living economically secure lives, including caregiving responsibilities, discrimination in employment and housing, and lack of representation in decision-making spaces. Women in financially unstable situations often work multiple jobs on top of being the primary caretaker of their families - 73% of single parent households in Columbus are headed by women. These barriers prevent them from pursuing high-earning careers, managing their health, accessing networks of support, and making strategic financial decisions.

Access to skills-training, mentorship, stabilizing resources, and a sense of belonging are critical needs to building wealth and security. When girls are given access to these resources at a young age, they’re less likely to partake in delinquent behaviors and more likely to grow into financially abundant adults. Since 2020, girls’ mental health has faced staggering drops.
