Fellow Mortals provides care for 2000 injured and/or orphaned wild birds and mammals every year.  Over 70,000 individual animals been admitted since 1985, with the majority being successfully rehabilitated for release back to the wild.  In 38 years, Fellow Mortals' operating philosophy has remained the same:  every life is precious; we work with eyes-closed, newborn, and newly-hatched wild individuals, as well as with the most critical injuries.  We are purpose-driven to meet the need of compassionate people who find a wild creature in distress and want to help.  Our operating philosophy is based in the belief that encouraging compassion toward all life brings out the best of our humanity and results in a better world for all living beings.
