Fairytale Farm Miniature Horse and Donkey Rescue is a certified 501(c)3 which began in September 2017 in Morgan Hill, CA.  Alexandra Martinez, the founder, is a brilliant young woman with extensive horse background and an innate ability to connect with the essence of each rescue.  We rescue miniature horses and donkeys, focusing on those with special medical needs and pregnancy. Fairytale Farm’s goal for all animals taken in is to find them a forever situation, ideally, a loving adoptive home where they are part of a family. Sometimes a sanctuary is the right option for some seniors or extreme abuse cases that need specialized care.   For those, we find each one just the right placement where they can live out their lives.                                   Fairytale Farm’s belief is that everyone deserves a happily ever after.Our mission stretches beyond this though. We also seek to spread awareness and education about the terrible situations, conditions, and dark underbelly of the horse industry that these animals have been subjected to prior to coming to us. We hope to help people have other options like owner surrender instead of auction pipelines and slaughter houses. We hope to help change this industry…one creature at a time.
