Equality Now is an international women's rights organization working to ensure women and men are treated equally. A country’s laws set the tone for how it treats its people, and how its people treat each other. When women and girls have fewer rights than men and boys, violence and discrimination are legitimized and ignored. Since 1992, our team of experts and lawyers have worked with grassroots organizations and governments around the world to achieve legal and systemic change that addresses violence and discrimination against women and girls. We campaign to end: child marriage, sexual violence and exploitation; female genital mutilation and for women to be treated equally to men in all laws.
