D.E.L.T.A Rescue (Dedication and Everlasting Love To Animals) is a tax -exempt 501 [c] 3 organization (Tax ID # 95-3759277) dedicated to rescuing animals abandoned in the wilderness and stopping the cruel practice of animal abandonment.
The organization runs the largest “No-Kill, Care-for-Life” animal sanctuary of its kind in the world located in the Southern California Mountains. Caring for more than 1500 animals at the 120-acre Super-Sanctuary, the dogs and cats never have to worry about being lost and alone again. All of D.E.L.T.A. Rescue’s animals receive tender care and love and are allowed to live out the rest of their lives in the sanctuary. Leo Grillo feels the animals have gone through enough pain and suffering for a lifetime and wants to ensure that they spend the rest of their days in a happy, stable, loving environment. Tours of the Sanctuary are provided to donors so that they can personally see the animals they are helping Leo rescue and care for.
D.E.L.T.A. Rescue’s goals are also to educate the public about what can be done to prevent the cruel and illegal practice of animal abandonment. D.E.L.T.A. Rescue does not accept animals from the public since the space is devoted to dogs and cats struggling for life after being abandoned in the wilderness.
