Engineers in Action (EIA) is a global nonprofit dedicated to breaking down the barriers of physical and systemic isolation that perpetuate poverty. Through our community-led infrastructure model, we deliver essential pedestrian bridges and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) systems in rural communities across Latin America and Africa. By partnering with local governments, universities, and corporate sponsors, we simultaneously build infrastructure, local capacity, and the next generation of socially conscious engineers.

To date, EIA has completed over 250 projects - bridges and WASH systems - that have served more than 250,000 people in 15 countries. Our volunteer programs engage students and professionals from over 30 universities and companies, with nearly 500 volunteers directly participating every year. We are poised to scale our impact while strengthening organizational sustainability.
