After losing our sweet  3 year old girl, Effie suddenly on the 13th of January 2023, the Dear Effie Charitable Trust was born from that deeply personal experience.

In the wake of this devastating loss, we encountered the profound challenge of accessing mental health support for her two brothers, Macklin aged 5 and Huxley 7 at the time.

Here at Dear Effie, we are committed to supporting children and their families in the Canterbury region (with hopes to expand New-Zealand wide) through grief's journey and providing them with the funding they need to access important resources and care during these incredibly challenging times. We fully fund up to 10 therapy sessions with professionals. 

We receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of the community and donations.
