Connecting Hands works towards alleviating the impact of slavery by providing young women and children who have been rescued from such terrible acts a more sustainable and brighter future by offering them counselling, education, schooling, training & employment opportunities to equip and empower them with the tools and resources needed to succeed in a life free from slavery. Our approach is to empower girls to change their own lives by giving them the support, tools and skills to do so. Where possible and safe to do so, we reunite mothers with their children and give them the support and guidance required to gain valuable parenting skills. All young women receive a variety of holistic services that assist them to make important life decisions, ensuing that their new skills can be sustained long term. Young women and children cared for by Connecting Hands benefit from safe house accommodation (where needed) access to meals, training, employment, schooling, English classes, counseling, medical assistance, family support and reintegration.
