We will save community cats through Trap-Neuter/Spay-Vaccinate-Return (TNR) programs to improve the lives of community cats, reduce the number of cats and kittens taken to shelters, and ultimately over time reduce the number of unowned, free roaming cats. TNR is the widely accepted best practice to humanely and effectively manage the community cat population. TNR means:

• Trap: Volunteers and community members humanely trap cats and transport them safely to veterinary clinics.

• Neuter: Cats are then spayed or neutered, vaccinated to protect against disease, microchipped, and ear tipped for identification

• Return: Once cats receive medical services, they are returned home where they have dedicated feeders and caretakers.

• Educate:  We often train community members to do TNR so that once we leave they can continue to responsibly maintain cat colonies.
