Founded in 2023, Carolina Street Cats is a Union County–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of community cats and the people who care for them. Our primary focus is TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) — a humane and effective method where free-roaming cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, ear-tipped for identification, and then returned to their outdoor homes. TNR stops the cycle of endless litters, improves the cats’ health, and creates calmer, healthier colonies.

We are deeply rooted in Union County, NC, working alongside local residents, caregivers, and municipalities to reduce cat overpopulation and promote compassionate community solutions. Beyond surgeries, we provide education, resources, and support to the caregivers who feed and shelter community cats every day.
