California Bully Rescue
About us
California Bully Rescue exists to reform the dog agenda through intentional rescue, educational resources, and support structural change in the community, in order to give each dog a fighting chance.
We take in strays, shelter dogs on death row, abuse and neglect cases, and owner surrenders of bully breeds. While in our care, dogs are thoroughly vetted medically, behaviorally, and mentally. Dogs receive medical care, medical testing, behavioral training, and all other necessities through our rescue thanks to the donations of our amazing supporters. We strongly believe that we will not adopt our way out of the problem of pet overpopulation, which is why we focus heavily on prevention, education, and community outreach. Primarily focused on Northern California, we promote spay, neuter, and work to provide resources that people can turn to when they are struggling with their dog but this is also common in rescues. Fosters experience fatigue or lack experience in handling minor behavioral issues a dog may have, which severely impacts our ability to save more. With additional funding, we would not only be able to save more dogs with behavioral issues, but rehabilitate them and educate the fosters, adopters, and supporters we have for lasting change.
The 3 dogs pictured, Bubbles (grey puppy), Mabel (tan), and Maya (grey and white) who are currently in our care are just a few of many who are in need of funds to cover veterinary expenses to improve their quality of life and prepare them for their adoptive homes.
