Since 1998, Brookings (South Dakota) Humane Society has provided a safe haven for dogs, cats and other small companion animals while they await their new homes. BRHS supports the spaying and neutering of animals in order to prevent the overpopulation of unwanted animals – all of our dogs, cats and rabbits are spayed or neutered PRIOR TO adoption! At BRHS, we typically see 500-600 animals yearly! -Our mission is to improve the lives of companion animals and support those who care for them.
