We are a program built on the foundation of human connection. One mentor, one child - a relationship that ignites the power and promise of a child's future. These are unprecedented times, but one thing we know is that socially distancing does not mean emotionally distancing. The mentoring relationships created through Big Brothers Big Sisters are more important than ever. The families of the children we serve will be some of the hardest hit during the pandemic and economic downturn. We have taken immediate action to maintain and support the vital, life-changing mentoring relationships we facilitate and professionally support in order to fight social isolation of our young people and families. Our program is an essential service we must continue to provide to Coachella Valley youth through this pandemic but we need investment in our mission.
