Beltsville Community Cats, Inc.
About us
Beltsville Community Cats is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that uses humane strategies to control and reduce the population of unowned, community cats in Beltsville, MD.BCC implements three programs to accomplish its mission of reducing the free-roaming, community cat population in Beltsville.
1. A targeted trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) program and the natural attrition resulting from the reduction in the number of feral cats that have not been neutered.
2. A rescue program where young feral kittens, friendly adult ferals, and dumped house cats are trapped and placed in foster homes for socialization, vetting and adoption into forever homes.
3. A colony support program that cares for approximately 150 feral cats living on over 20 industrial and commercial properties. BCC volunteers provide food and fresh water every day, ensure access to shelters in the winter, and monitor for sick, injured, and unaltered cats.
BCC has sterilized and vaccinated over 1400 cats since it started in March 2019. BCC uses small grants, donations from individuals and businesses, and income from fundraising to pay for spaying/neutering, vaccinating, and providing medical services for community cats. Your contribution to BCC will help pay for vetting more community cats, preventing unwanted litters and ensuring longer, healthier lives.
