The AnnieRuth Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 2012. Its mission is to serve as a catalyst of positive change in underserved communities. Our areas of focus are education, health initiatives, and economic development.

Our summer internship program is a one-year, points-based program that develops youth from a personal, academic, and workforce development perspective. Ultimately, high school students complete an internship experience in a safe, professional environment that directly aligns with their career aspiration. During the internship experience, students receive hands-on experience, an adult mentor, and a paycheck.

People should support the AnnieRuth Foundation because it provides such experiences prior to students going off to college, positioning them to make a more informed decision as to whether they will continue to pursue their career aspiration or whether there is a need for them to explore their Plan B; decreasing the likelihood of students 1) having to change their major due to a sudden loss of interest in a career field or 2) graduating with a degree (in a field that they once had interest) only to seek employment working outside of their earned degree. Both situations described is a waste of the students’ time and their parents hard earned money.
