Alley Katz Australia Org. keeps street cats out of the pound.

However, street cats don't just live on the street. They are the strays that you see around industrial estates, shopping centres, living in colonies to survive.

In 2020-21, Alley Katz Australia Org. spent over $20,000 to feed, rescue, rehabilitate a cat. Then cats go to foster care and eventually to adoption. It's a long journey and a labour of love for our team and foster carers.

Our rescuers are out at night to bring in the street cats. Occasionally we find microchipped cats that must be reunited with their owners. This is very time consuming and burns up a lot of financial resource and time. Many sleepless nights for us.

We are a no-kill rescue and have strong views against euthanasia. Our welfare work includes microchipping, desexing, veterinary support with haematology, biochemistry and endocrinology tests, authorised paramedical support, holistic health management and behavioral modification.

We operate primarily in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, in the Whittlesea, Banyule, Darebin, Moreland, Hume, Brimbank and Melton LGAs.
