Mission & Impact

ADORE Houston is a dedicated 501(c)(3) animal welfare nonprofit based in Houston, Texas, committed to addressing the ongoing animal overpopulation crisis and creating safer, kinder communities for both people and animals. Founded to respond to the high numbers of homeless, abandoned, and at-risk dogs in the Houston area, ADORE Houston works tirelessly to save lives, educate the public, and find loving long-term homes for companion animals.

What We Do

• Rescue & Rehabilitation: ADORE works to remove stray and abandoned dogs from the streets and overcrowded shelters, providing them with critical care and a safe environment.

• Vet Care & Spay/Neuter Programs: Every animal rescued by ADORE receives appropriate veterinary care, including spay/neuter procedures unless health issues preclude it—helping curb overpopulation humanely.

• Foster & Adoption Services: Through a robust foster network and adoption efforts, dogs are matched with responsible, loving families. ADORE educates adopters to ensure each placement is a lasting one.

• Community Support: Beyond rescuing animals, ADORE supports pet owners in need—helping keep pets in their homes by assisting with resources like low-cost care, pet deposits, and other support services.

• Education & Outreach: The organization educates the public on responsible pet ownership, animal behavior, and the importance of humane treatment and care for companion animals.
