Access Youth Outreach Services is dedicated to supporting all youth by meeting them where they are. Youth gour.made community kitchen is a one of kind program which was launched in January 2020. This program is offered in a mobile and virtual setting so youth can learn fundemental life skills. Each week the Gour-Made team delivers meal kits right to youth’s front door. Each meal kit includes: the recipe of the week with cooking instructions, as well as all the ingredients needed to make dinner for their entire household.  The Gour-Made Chef also creates an instructional video to demonstrate the food preparation and cooking instructions which is then posted on our Gour-Made Instagram account, @youthgourmade for easy access. Youth participants also have a chance to win a $25 gift card each week for posting pictures and/or videos of their completed recipe of the week. Project Reach Out has been serving the Tri Cities since 1998. It is an award-winning mobile youth centre that operates on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 pm to midnight. We connect with street entrenched, homeless, and at-risk youth ages 12 to 23 and provide barrier free access to harm reduction supplies, sexual health and personal hygiene supplies, food, water, clothing, winter gear, and summer safety supplies. Our team on the bus are staffed by Social Workers, Child and Youth Care Counselors, Youth Justice Advocates, and Addictions Counsellors. The Art Journaling program was created to support healthy ways of expression and mental health. The program runs for 12 weeks, each week we have a topic of conversation, learn a new art technique, and have a project to add to your art journal. We explore topics of conversation such as, finding your spirit animal, boundaries, the impacts of drug use and overdose, creating healthy relationships, consent, and so much more! The Youth Empowerment Worker is a 1:1 support program run by a certified social worker. The YEW worker engages youth with developing a goal plan, they focus on improving individual skills, family connection and community resources. Access Youth Outreach Services provides many programs to fit all youth wherever they are so please consider supporting Access Youth in meeting youth where they are!
