About us
Youth At The Center strives to flip on its head the old adage that children should be seen and not heard. Our mission is to advance opportunities for young people to be seen, heard, and valued as the next generation of leaders in our community. Our signature program is Young, Not Silent, our youth-led group, working to advance opportunities for youth voices to be amplified and to address the issues most important to them in our community. Each year, members of Young, Not Silent engage young people in our community and ask them "What are you NOT silent about?" During the 2023-2024 school year, Young, Not Silent members are focused on improving youth mental health & well-being.
