Wisconsin Family Ties began more than 30 years ago with a small group of parents who came together with one shared belief: families deserve to be heard, supported, and empowered when navigating their children’s mental health. Today, we are the largest parent-run organization of our kind in Wisconsin, providing research-based, family-focused, and parent-led programs and services statewide.

What makes us different is simple—and powerful: we’ve been there too. Our parent peer specialists bring lived experience, compassion, and persistence to every family they serve, offering support without judgment and hope without giving up. Guided by our WI PLAN Model of Family Engagement, we build trusting partnerships that create positive change at home, in schools, and throughout communities.
