CCWR provides care to Native injured or orphaned Wildlife here Wilmington, NC!  CCWR has been around helping our wildlife in need of care since the late nineties, when I was working in the Veterinary field as a technician.  In 2014 we became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization so we could seek out donations and grants to help cover our costs! We did not turn any animal away that we have rehabilitation permits and licenses for nor do we charge fees to people who bring in wildlife to our center! 

 CCWR follows all NC State and Federal laws and regulations, to ensure that we will be here for the next generation! We take pride in helping our wildlife in need of help or assistance because of the over building our community! 

   CCWR is very unique because we are the only wildlife rehab center that is licensed and permitted for Birds, Mammals, Rabies Vector Species, Repty and Whitetail Fawns! Because of our partnership my husband who is a retired firefighter / Medic and myself retired from the veterinary field, we’re able to give 24/7 to CCWR and our critters!                Our State does not have any paid staff or organization to care and help with injured or orphaned wildlife, so it falls on us to get licensed as volunteers to help provide shelter, food and medical assistance when needed! With all the over building we are taking away from their homes! Wildlife is adapting to civilization poorly by getting hit by cars, flying into windows, living in retention pounds that go dry, domestic animals that gets them, people poisoning them and worse! They need us to all step up and help them to survive! We are the problem here by paving paradise! CCWR can’t save them all but we can make a difference with your support and help by donating to our community wildlife rehabilitation center! Vote CCWR and our Wildlife that needs our help!
