The purpose of WCARS is to: 1) perform educational and charitable activities, 2) provide animal shelter services, and 3) provide assistance and rehabilitation to abused, neglected or abandoned dogs, cats, and other animals in Wilson County. Our vision for WCARS is to be a model shelter, addressing the issue of pet over-population by providing solutions through services and prevention through education. We strive to be the exemplary shelter for the South Texas Region by executing exceptional business and service practices.
