Wellington Free Ambulance is the only emergency ambulance service for Greater Wellington and Wairarapa, and the only ambulance service in Aotearoa New Zealand that’s free. As well as providing emergency ambulance services 24/7 for free to our communities, we also offer a Patient Transfer Service that safely and comfortably transports patients to and from scheduled healthcare appointments, a Clinical Communications Centre that answers 111 calls, and event medical support to a huge number of community, sporting and festival events. Plus, we teach our community lifesaving CPR skills through The Lloyd Morrison Foundation Heartbeat Programme, for free. We receive some funding from government, but we need to fundraise around $7.5 million every year which comes in part from our incredible community of supporters, like you.
