We Are Atascadero Pride (WAAP) is a community-led nonprofit dedicated to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and allies on the Central Coast.

Our work centers on connection, visibility, and belonging—through events like Pride in the Park, ongoing gatherings, and community storytelling initiatives such as Memory Cafe. Guided by the belief that “Everyone is welcome,” WAAP fosters spaces where people can be seen, heard, and supported.

Rooted in the spirit of Ubuntu—“I am because we are”—our mission is to strengthen community by bringing people together with warmth, respect, and care.
