In a country where over half the population lacks clean water, the solution isn’t just more wells—it’s trained, equipped people in every village who can repair and sustain them. That’s why we launched the Women’s Well Repair Initiative—a powerful movement of women mechanics who are transforming access to water in their communities.
Our teams fix broken wells in days instead of years, restoring health, saving time, and helping girls return to school. We work in partnership with local communities, creating jobs, training leaders, and building long-term systems that truly last.
Since 2008, we’ve repaired or drilled over 2,000 wells and served more than 1.5 million people. But we’re just getting started. Our goal is bold: by 2030, to reach all 10 states of South Sudan with well repair teams and spare parts.
