The Venus Foundation has a two-fold mission. We provide domestic violence resources to victims as well as organize search and rescue searches for missing people and provide families with resources to locate missing loved ones. Each year, we host an event in downtown Kalamazoo, MI that has a two-fold mission of provide local homeless citizens with items they may need to keep warm for our Michigan Winters, and in return, we ask them to look over our board filled with missing person flyers and provide any information that they have in regards to the location of anyone listed on our missing person board. We have hosted this event for 11 years and are blessed to say that we have always located at least one missing loved one, with a handful of years locating multiple missing persons from 2, 3, 4, and this last year 6 located!!! We also offer hot meals, gift cards for a hot meal, and a phone call home if their loved ones don't know if they are dead or alive.
