Formed in 2008, Valley Dogs has helped hundreds of dogs find their forever homes. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN: 26-0896950), no-kill animal rescue organization whose mission is to rescue dogs that have been abandoned, neglected, or otherwise placed in harm's way; to provide temporary housing for adoptable dogs, and to promote and encourage the responsible care of pets, especially spaying or neutering, micro-chipping and vaccination of dogs and puppies.

Veterans and Their Pets is a branch of Valley Dogs that was initiated in 2010. Veterans and Their Pets (“VaTPs”) provides temporary care of the companion animals of military veterans in need of medical care or transitional housing assistance. The core focus of VaTPs is to ensure that a military veteran will seek the medical care or other assistance for their needs secure in knowing that their companion animal(s) is being well cared for by VaTPs volunteers in their absence. Through our VaTPs program, we were able to assist companion animals to remain safe while their military/veteran owner received needed care for themselves, and reuniting the companion animal and owner once care was completed. Unfortunately, there have been the occasions where the veteran has passed away while their pet is in our care. If there is no family member willing to adopt the animal, VaTPs works to secure a new, loving home for the pet.
