Underdog Animal Rescue (UAR) is a foster-based rescue located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2014, our network of volunteer fosters has rescued thousands of Underdogs from shelters across California, as well as from public surrenders and strays. Our wraparound services are tailored to each dog's unique needs, regardless of breed or age.

As a foster-based rescue, UAR places dogs in temporary foster homes where they can decompress and seek respite. Our standard procedure includes preventative care at intake. Dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and receive other medical treatment needed before finding their forever home.

Thank you for seeing what we do and loving us for it. It’s only because of our outstanding community, foster families, and volunteers that we are able to continue our efforts.

UAR Animal Rescue is a fully insured 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
