Trap Free Montana connects hearts and minds through the best available science, truths in trapping, & compassion to rise to the plight of wildlife & support biodiversity, coexistence, and responsible stewardship. We partner with our nonprofit 501(c)(4) affiliate, Trap Free Montana Public Lands (TFMPL) who focuses on trapping legislation in Montana, voting records, and advocates for trap free public lands. and achieving trap free public lands.

Our major projects are:

Billboards: Our ongoing statewide billboard campaign across Montana originating in 2018 increases public awareness about the truths in trapping exposing tens of thousands of vehicles daily.

Nonlethal Methods: We promote and assist with non-lethal proactive and preventive alternatives to mitigate real and perceived conflicts in lieu of trapping and killing.

Medical bills: We help pay the Veterinary bills and rehab costs for trapping victims, never ever wanting a trapped animal to forego treatment or be euthanized because of costs for proper medical care.

Litigate: Against aggressive wolf management in Montana, failure of the USFWS to protect NRM wolves, and trapping risks to ESA protected species.
