Our organization is committed to caring for special needs animals. This may include dogs and cats that are blind, deaf, handicapped, have behavioral issues, and chronic illnesses. Many of our animals have been rescued from abusive homes and hoarding situations. Often the abuse caused their handicaps . Our animals are not adopted out, but live at Tiny Paws for the remainder of their lives where we are able to provide for the medical and emotional needs of our animals. We believe in the power of pack love which encourages our animals to help heal each other as the established members teach the new animal the routine and that they can trust their caretaker. This gives the animals confidence and a sense of calmness as they know what to expect. Too often they have lived lives of unpredictability and fear. Every day our pack leader, Teddy, leads the dogs in a daily howl that he started years ago without our encouragement. It bonds the pack and seems to work out any frustrations of the day.
