UAAF is committed to the concept of a home for every adoptable animal through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming. We take a broad view of what an adoptable animal is. UAAF is locally known for its willingness to take on not only healthy, easily adoptable animals, but animals with ongoing health issues, orphaned newborns, senior animals, and animals with disabilities.

With the help of a core group of dedicated foster homes, many of these animals remain in our care for months, at a cost of thousands of dollars in veterinary care, before moving on to loving forever homes.
