The River Refuge is designed to provide families, children and individuals who are in need education both in spiritual matters as well as in life skills. It is the endeavor of this organization to see families stay together, grow to be self sustaining, and contribute back to society. The Malachi Project is structured to address the multi-faceted needs of children raised below the poverty level and in single-mom households, including education, mentoring, counseling, social skills, financial awareness, and spiritual/emotional support. The educational element of the program is designed to align with the local school's curriculum and provide tutoring at the lowest possible teacher to student ratio to individualize the learning to the students' current level to close the gap in areas that are lagging.
