The Hive Community Circle is South Carolina’s only survivor-led, culturally specific peer advocacy organization dedicated to supporting Black, Brown, and Indigenous women and girls who have experienced sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking. Founded by a survivor and social worker, Ashley Olayinka, The Hive was created in 2015 to respond to the urgent need for safe, affirming spaces where historically underserved survivors are not only believed but also empowered to heal and thrive.

Through trauma-informed advocacy, bilingual legal and crisis support, and holistic healing services, we meet survivors where they are, restoring dignity, safety, and hope. The Hive also provides prevention programs for youth, parents, and professional, economic justice initiatives that create pathways to financial stability, and that equips survivors to become self-sufficient.
