Here at Friends of the Animal Shelter, d.b.a. Smoky Mountain Humane Society, we are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) driven by a single goal; to do our part to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home lost, abandoned and unwanted animals of Cocke County, TN.  We strive to build productive relationships to make "pawsitive" changes in the lives of any animal in our care and county.  We are achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We are working on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of the animals in our care, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make.
