The Crayon Project
About us
The Crayon Project is based in Bridgewater, Massachusetts and was founded as a response to various acts of social injustice taking place in the world. Instead of sitting by idly while this was going on, Beth Ann and Kevin decided to start The Crayon Project focusing on the small act of buying multicultural crayons, markers and colored pencils for schools and non-profit organizations they were familiar with within their local community. As friends and families started to learn more, the outreach broadened and in just a few short months The Crayon Project grew from a grassroots organization into a fully recognized 501c3 non-profit organization. The Crayon Project’s mission is to reinforce that hatred is not inherited; it is something that is learned. It’s time that we as a society reinforce with children that it doesn’t matter what skin color you are; you are a human being and worthy of respect and dignity.
Through the generosity of individual donors chipping in donations small and large to businesses that have rallied around the mission of The Crayon Project, we have been able to continue to spread our message across the United States.
