The Mission to Seafarers (MtS) provides help and support to the 1.9 million men and women who face danger every day to keep the global economy afloat. MtS works in over 200 ports in 50 countries caring for seafarers of all ranks, nationalities and beliefs. 

Through its global network of chaplains, staff and volunteers, MtS offers practical, emotional and spiritual support to seafarers through ship visits, drop-in seafarers' centres and a range of welfare and emergency support services.

Mission to Seafarers Australia actively responds with loving care to the many challenges and dangers faced by seafarers.

Our 28 Australian centres give seafarers a chance to:

• connect with their loved ones and children, often for the first time;

• mentally and spiritually recharge for the next leg of their voyage; and

• access medical, welfare, and chaplaincy services.

We work closely with Australian Government agencies and port users to improve the treatment of seafarers and shipping practices in Australian waters.

Seafarers continually sustain every Australian with the goods we need and enjoy. As a worldwide charity, the Mission to Seafarers stands alongside these 1.9 million men and women seafarers in 200+ ports around the world.
