The Armed Forces Equine Charity
We support the health and wellbeing of the Armed Forces Community. We enable and build upon the significant benefits that connections with animals and the environment can have on all our lived experiences. Through interactions with horses, we facilitate Equine Sport and Recreation, Equine Assisted Services to Therapy, Recovery and Rehabilitation and Equine Assisted Learning for the Neurodiverse.   We know that people will often first share their emotions with animals and in quiet reflective moments when out in the green environment. We provide that safe and trusted environment and harness the power of horses to help people unlock and talk about areas in their lives where they feel they need help. We don’t accept “they will never tell you”. From that brave first step, we build on shared trust to gain a better understanding of needs. Support will need to come from many areas and our person-centred journey to improving health and wellbeing is reliant upon effective collaboration and navigation to many organisations who deliver both clinical and non-clinical support.

In summary, integrating horses with humans opens, physical and emotionally, shut doors and with the support of our welfare hubs we promote better health, improved healing and greater happiness.
