The Arc of Denton County is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that is committed to empowering individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities to exercise the same rights, freedoms and responsibilities as their fellow citizens by providing family support, public awareness, advocacy service and referral.The community we support often goes unnoticed or forgotten about. We develop community awareness of the needs and potential of the IDD community through our partnerships with Texas Arc, US Arc, Denton County MHMR, Texas Advocates, UNT, TWU, NCTC, The Arc DFW Area, Lewisville ISD, Denton ISD, Lake Dallas ISD, and Sanger ISD. We also share resources with other like-minded nonprofits such as Special Abilities of North Texas, Community For Permanent Supported Housing as well as many others.
